What does sustainability mean to NYCO? It’s not just a word; it’s a philosophy!
NYCO has a clear and targeted sustainability policy. NYCO is a member of Flexible Packaging Europe (FPE) and, within the framework of the environmental code, is committed to the following principles:
We develop flexible packaging
... in order to minimise the use of packaging material.
... to protect valuable filling materials and prevent packaging waste.
... that saves resources and uses resources more efficiently than conventional types of packaging.
... because this accounts for just 10 % of all packaging material for food products in Europe, but is used to pack over 40 % of products.
... that is collected and therefore supports life-cycle management that goes beyond basic recycling
... that supports sustainability in consumption and helps to prevent food waste.
NYCO actively supports the CEFLEX industry initiative to improve recycling of flexible packaging in order to prevent flexible packaging from entering the environment.
As an active member of the industry initiative Holy Grail 2.0, NYCO is supporting the expansion of the circular economy. With the help of invisible codes, so-called digital watermarks, information is placed on the packaging that simplifies the recycling process.
How does NYCO invest in climate protection? With process quality. Hold us to it.
NYCO Flexible Packaging has been investing in alternative technologies for many years in order to limit the effects on the environment. We develop processes and products to protect our environment and are continuously reducing CO2 emissions throughout the entire value creation and supply chain (cradle to cradle).
